Increase the efficiency and lifespan of your sewer
Pipe coating creates a brand new pipe inside an old one.
Our pipe coating system uses 100% solid epoxy resin. It's mixed with a professionally engineered static mixing tip.
The epoxy is applied with a circular brush in multiple, colour contrasting layers, making it easy for us to verify that a single coat has been completely applied before moving on to the next coat.
Pipe coating saves time and money, and fixes sewer problems without expensive digging.
Pipe coating works well for cast iron pipes, but don't wait to long.
Once your pipes are rotted through they won't be able to be coated.
CIPP, or cured-in-place pipe lining, uses a textile material along with an epoxy resin to repair damage to pipes and lines from the inside. While the system does have some similarities to pipe coating, the two methods have unique uses.
If a pipe is not damaged, and is simply in danger of corroding to the point of damage, then pipe coating is a great solution to extend the lifespan of the pipe. CIPP relining is a better solution for pipe repair when there is significant structural damage to a pipe. Both are innovative and durable solutions that serve their specific purpose.
Pipes have a tendency to corrode over time, and everything that runs through those pipes ends up in the sewer systems. Corroded pipes can carry pollutants into the water supply and affect the quality of the water. Also, corrosion can lead to catastrophic failure of a sewer system if left unchecked; repairs are then far more costly. By lining a corroded pipe, we reduce the risk of pollutants and extend the lifespan of the lines.
Pipe coating allows us to nip a pipe problem in the bud. It requires a specialized pump and brush machine to apply an epoxy resin to the inside of your sewer, extending it's life and protecting it from the effects of corrosion. There are several unique benefits to pipe coating.
Trenchless pipe coating is done by first inspecting and diagnosing the sewer itself. This requires a specialized sewer camera that allows us to get a crystal clear picture of the inside of the pipe, letting us know whether or not pipe coating is the right remedy for the situation.
Once we have a clear picture of the current state of the pipe, we give it a thorough cleaning. The drain must be free of debris so the spray can properly adhere to the internal wall.
Once the interior of the sewer has been cleaned, we apply the epoxy coating in stages. At every stage the curing process is sped up with specialized heaters. Each coat of epoxy has its own unique colour. This allows us to monitor whether or not the epoxy has been completely and totally applied before moving onto the next coat.
Once all coats have been applied and cured, your pipe is ready for service. This new coating will greatly prolong the lifespan of your sewer, giving you peace of mind for years to come.
